Welcome Back!

We are excited to start the new year and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, August 9th.

As part of our efforts to embed and assist in developing skill sets for students at Valley Prep, we have adopted the Discovery curriculum.  The Valley Prep staff will continue to focus on and support student's academic needs in English, Math, Social Studies, and Science, while embedding Social and Emotional Learning (support systems).

The Discovery curriculum includes …

Effective Group Skills and Team Building

Anger Management

Effective Communication

Assertiveness Training

Problem Solving

Conflict Resolution

We are excited to support our students, families, and the D51 Strategic plan (prepared and supported students).

We are excited to see you on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 9th. You can view your schedule through Student VUE and Parent VUE. If it just says “Career Center” or “Valley” classes, but doesn’t tell you anything specific, don’t worry! You can change the focus by clicking on the down arrow in the upper right corner and see what your day on the Career Center Campus will look like.  If that does not work, staff will be outside greeting students and helping direct them to the correct classrooms. Just be here on time and we will help you get to the right spot. Remember, you need to be enrolled at your D51 home high school to attend Valley or Career Center.

Please be at the Career Center Campus in time for your scheduled classes.

  • Bussing is available from the home high school - contact the home school office for specific times. If you have additional bussing questions please talk to the home high school or Student Transportation of America at 970-697-1050
    • Be sure to be at the bus stop a few minutes early!
  • Parents may drop their students off at the Career Center Campus if the student doesn’t have any classes earlier in the day at their home high school.
  • Students may also drive themselves. Student parking is located on the south side of the campus.
  • For the first week of school, staff will be on hand to direct students to their correct classes.
