Job Corps

The United States' largest and most comprehensive residential education and job training program for at-risk youth, ages 16 through 24. Since 1964, Job Corps has served generations of young adults through intensive programs of education, vocational training, work experience, and counseling. The Job Corps program has prepared millions of young men and women for meaningful work. Job Corps is designed to assist young people who need and can benefit from the multifaceted approach provided in the residential setting of a Job Corps Center. The program is highly targeted to disadvantaged youth facing multiple barriers to employment. Job Corps provides a comprehensive mix of service which addresses these multiple barriers in an integrated and coordinated manner in one facility.

City Year

City Year is an innovative service organization that unites diverse young leaders, ages 17 to 24, for a challenging year of full-time service, leadership, and civic engagement beginning each August. Corps members receive a weekly stipend and are eligible for over $4000 in post-service awards for college or job training after serving on the front lines of America's most critical issues by eradicating racism and other social barriers.

InterExchange Programs

The Summer Youth Blitz is a unique service experience for a diverse group of youth, ages 16 to 18, from high schools and youth organizations around the United States. During this program, 15 to 20 youth participants and adult leaders "blitz build" an entire Habitat house in two weeks.
